Our strategic aim
We will work with funders and agencies and local communities to better understand the barriers and challenges faced by Black-led groups in securing funding, support and agency in Lambeth and Southwark. We will instigate ways of responding collaboratively to develop a more equitable and joined-up system of support and opportunity.
Recent work
We continue to develop existing partnerships including as members of London Funders, Association of Charitable Foundations, Southwark and Lambeth Funders Networks and Community Southwark to learn about best practice, emerging needs, and explore opportunities to make more of a difference.
We are working with Impact on Urban Health, United St Saviour’s Charity and Walcot Foundation to explore a cross-borough collaboration that aims to develop a more supportive, stable and equitable funding environment for small Black and diverse-led groups in Lambeth and Southwark. These funders have also connected with the team from Radically Reimagining Funding that has formed following a fifteen month project with Impact on Urban Health and the Ubele Initiative, and is working to co-design a system that enables grantees to have a voice on how grants are invested to address social issues in Lambeth and Southwark.

We connect with Community Southwark that supports the supports the voluntary and community sector in Southwark, including advising community groups and charities on how to find funding.
We recently joined funders and community groups at the Community Southwark's Annual Funding Conference held at the Jessie Duffett Tenants Hall in March 2025.
‘I value the hard work that Community Southwark put into this event, i don’t know another borough that hosts insightful events to this level, thank you to the whole team’ Sophie Austin Dog Kennel Hill Adventure Playground.
